Cars can be hired with a driver or can be rented to drive yourself. Drivers need to hold either a UK or International driving license. Traffic drives on the right. - When leaving Dubai follow signs for 'Hatta' and 'Oman'. Continue through Hatta, following signs to 'Oman' and 'Muscat'. After crossing the UAE and Omani borders continue along the dual carriageway until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, turn right. You continue along the dual carriageway for approximately 300 km. At each roundabout continue straight ahead - signs will read either 'Sohar', before you reach the town of Sohar, and 'Muscat' thereafter.
- Eventually you will arrive at Seeb International Airport. At the roundabout, continue straight ahead on the dual carriageway, following signs to 'Muscat'.
- After about 20 km drive, passing exits for Ghala, Bausher and Madinat Sultan Qaboos, the dual carriageway divides. Take the right hand fork, signposted for 'Muttrah and Muscat.
- Continue along this dual carriageway (Qurum Heights Street) which leads through the mountains. You will start to descend down a long hill which bears right over a viaduct. At the end of the viaduct take the right hand exit signposted to 'Ruwi and Darsayt'.
- Keep left on the exit road and continue along the dual carriageway, signposted 'Al Bustan & Muttrah Al Kubra' - do not exit down the slip road on the right hand side. You will reach some traffic lights at the end of the flyover. Continue straight ahead. You will then reach a second set of traffic lights with the Oman Sheraton hotel on your left hand side. Continue straight ahead. You then reach a third set of traffic lights. Continue straight ahead. You will then reach a fourth set of traffic lights at a roundabout which has a large incense burner monument on it. At the roundabout exit straight ahead (second exit). Continue along the dual carriageway. You will pass statues of two horses. Proceed up the hill, as you descend be prepared to turn down the right hand slip road signposted to 'Qantab'.
- Continue along this road, which runs through the mountains to resort. Keep on the main road - do not take the left hand turn which you will see after about ten minutes. At the roundabout exit straight ahead (first exit) and proceed up the hill. You will reach the resort entrance after about two minutes drive.
