Please note that in Malaysia, traffic drives on the left.

1. Exit the carpark / the lane outside of the Arrival Hall and head to the KKIA exit.  At the exit, cut across the road to the opposite lane where the traffic is heading to the right (away from town). 
2. Stay on the left lane. You will see a set of traffic lights in front of you.
3. Slip into the left shoulder at the traffic light.
4. From here on, just stay on this road. You will pass 5 sets of traffic lights. Do not turn to the left or to the right until you reach the 6th set of traffic light where you will see pass short hills on your left with many tombstones. That's the Chinese cemetery, an important landmark for drivers.  Continue to drive straight.
5. Stay on the road, neither turning left nor right. You will pass yet another set of traffic light (the 7th) Keep going.
6. The next set of traffic lights (8th) are about 7 mins further. After this traffic light, please slip into the left lane as you will need to make a turn-off soon.
7. Approaching the 9th set of traffic light (and staying in the left lane), you will see a sign for Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort and Dalit Bay Golf Club & Spa.
8. Take the left shoulder at the traffic light after that signage.
9. From here, there will be directional signage for the resort all along the road. However, to summarise the route:

(a) You will pass an industrial plant on your right hand side.
(b) You will pass a roundabout. Take the 12 o'clock (straight) road at the roundabout.
(c) You will drive pass stalls of "Kelapa Bakar"  on both sides of the road. Further up, you will pass Salut Restaurant and Gayang Restaurant on your left.
(d) You will pass a long bridge. On a clear day, you can see Mt Kinabalu upriver if you look to the right.
(e) You will come to a turn-off on your left hand side which leads to the resort.
(f) Just drive right to the end of that road and you will see Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort.
