Transportation
Chiang Mai’s city centre is easy to navigate. Rental car, vans and motorbikes are widely available. The most widely used mode of public transportation is the Santao, red buses that ply any route within a 15- to 30-kilometre radius for THB15-20 per person (more if going outside the Old Town area). Tuk-tuks (motorized tricycles) cost from THB30-40 per vehicle with higher fares late at night. Old-fashioned rickshaws are also available from THB25.
